Staffordshire Providers' Associaton - Making more of learning

Employers

Sometimes it seems like an uphill struggle finding the right employees with the right skills for the right job.

No matter how big your organisation, this is the problem you will face - and often more than once. You require motivation. You need enthusiasm. This is why apprenticeships are often the answer. They help you stay competitive by developing the kind of people your operation needs for the future.

By taking on a young person aged 16 - 24, you can be safe in the knowledge that he or she will develop the skills you're looking for. There's no more effective way than apprenticeships - they make a contribution to your business from day one with ongoing benefits. What's more, it won't be long before your apprentices will be proving themselves by making a real contribution to your business. By giving them - in many cases - their first step on the ladder, the chances are they'll reward you by being better motivated and are more likely to remain loyal.
